Ceremonial Cacao Guatemala

from $32.50

Limited stock: Guatemalan Ceremonial Cacao, Alta Verapaz

Our beloved Guatemalan Ceremonial Cacao is made from premium, certified organic beans grown in the lush, mountainous region of Alta Verapaz. Here, indigenous farming communities tend their cacao with care, working through Cacao Verapaz, a pioneering organisation that has transformed the way cacao is produced, traded and valued in Guatemala.

Cacao Verapaz was the first to source specialty cacao fermented and dried by community associations, helping farmers move away from low-price, low-quality markets and into fair, transparent relationships. Since 2014, they’ve trained farmers, improved post-harvest techniques and even built Guatemala’s first sensory and quality laboratory for cacao. Their newest post-harvest centre in Cahabón works directly with producers, creating consistent, high-quality organic cacao while supporting community growth and stability.

We stone-grind these fine beans ourselves in Kwoorabup (Denmark, Western Australia) with love and care. Every sip carries the richness of the land, the resilience of its people and a thread of history reaching back to the Maya. This Ceremonial Cacao is an invitation to connect with something timeless.
